Join the Canadian Bar Association – Nova Scotia Branch (CBA-NS) and the Association des juristes d’expression française de la Nouvelle-Écosse (AJEFNÉ) for a cinq à sept celebrating Nova Scotia’s French-speaking legal community and access to justice in both official languages.
Taking place immediately following the day’s French Legal Terminology Training, this complimentary reception is open to members of the legal community, whether or not you are attending the daytime training.
Enjoy food and refreshments, live music from a francophone pianist, and an opportunity to connect with colleagues.
The evening will also feature remarks from representatives of CBA-NS and AJEFNÉ, Senator Réjean Aucoin and a representative of the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada.
A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the AJEFNÉ 2026 Jurist Award to the Honourable Justice Pierre L. Muise, recognizing his contributions to the legal community.
Program:
- 5:00–5:40 p.m. – Guest arrival, networking reception and live music
- 5:40–6:30 p.m. – Welcome, remarks and presentation of the AJEFNÉ 2026 Jurist Award
- 6:30–7:00 p.m. – Networking reception and live music
