What They Don't Teach You in Law School: The Business of Law

Blair McIlwain and Ben Carver share practical perspectives on the business side of legal practice and how thinking about it early can help young lawyers build careers they find rewarding. Drawing on their experience in solo, boutique, and larger firm settings, they will discuss different models of practice, the pros and cons of each, and the financial realities of running a firm. The focus throughout will be on helping young lawyers build a practice that fits the kind of career and life they want to lead.
