The Canadian Construction Documents Committee ("CCDC") has recently published three new construction management contracts. Previously, construction managers and owners could choose between CCA 5-1988 and the corresponding Agreement between Owner and Trade contractor (CCA17-1996). These are now replaced by three new contracts:
- CCDC 5A-2010 Agreement Between Owner and Construction Manager - For Services
- CCDC 17-2010 Stipulated Price Contract Between Owner and Trade Contractor for Construction Management Projects
- CCDC 5B-2010 Agreement Between Owner and Construction Manager - For Services and Construction
Please join us for this informative dinner program with two leading construction contract lawyers so you can ensure that you are up to speed and can advise your clients on the newest standard form construction management contracts. Some of the topics that will be explored are:
- Fundamental differences between CCDC 5A and CCDC 5B.
- Construction Manager as the owner's agent model.
- Construction Manager "at risk" model.
