OBA Municipal Law PROGRAM | Original Program Date: May 8, 2017
The City of Toronto has established an independent group called the Toronto Local Appeal Body (TLAB), which replaces the function of the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) to hear Toronto-based appeals of committee of Adjustment’s decisions on minor variance and consent applications. The goal of TLAB is to make for a more efficient hearing process, and to ensure that planning matters that impact Toronto neighbourhoods are decided by a locally-appointed.
Starting May 3, 2017, most appeals from the Toronto committee of Adjustment will go to the TLAB instead of the OMB. Join your professional planning and legal colleagues to hear our expert panel give an overview of and introduction to the TLAB’s goals, policies and procedures. Register now for this unique opportunity to hear how this will shape the way hearings will be conducted in Toronto!
