OBA Class Actions Law PROGRAM | 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

The global pandemic has significantly affected all aspects of life resulting in class actions claims in many arenas. Many have already been filed, with many more to come. Two key areas where a large number of claims will rise, and are already being filed, are in the areas of insurance and long-term care homes. Join our stellar faculty as they examine what the new landscape of class actions law will look like, and how the two areas of insurance and long-term care home actions will help to change this landscape with a huge swath of new claims. We will also canvass other unique class actions that are being brought in other jurisdictions in addition to Canada. Our discussion will focus on what practitioners need to know moving forward as they bring and defend claims that will arise from the fallout of the pandemic.
