OBA Young Lawyers Division - East PROGRAM | Original Program Date: February 9, 2021

Sharpening your virtual advocacy skills are imperative in today’s environment. Join us for an interactive session with mediator, Joy Noonan, who will share virtual mediation best practices, provide insight into how to best prepare clients to excel in a virtual environment, how to reduce the impact of “Zoom fatigue”, and how to use virtual breakout rooms to your advantage.

Ceilidh Henderson, an Ottawa-based family lawyer, will share what techniques have proven effective and what pitfalls to avoid in virtual court appearances. Our experienced panelists will facilitate discussion between participants on ways to effectively represent their clients in remote environments. Participants are welcome (and encouraged) to bring questions and share their own virtual advocacy experiences.
