OBA Public Sector Lawyers PROGRAM | Original Program Date: March 29, 2023

In practice it is important that lawyers be aware of the circumstances of their clients. This includes understanding when a client is dealing with and addressing trauma. It is important then that our practices be trauma informed. Join our Chair and Speakers as they provide their skilled insights on how lawyers can take on this critical role. They will discuss:

  • How to recognize signs of trauma
  • How to deal with clients, without re-traumatizing them.
  • How do you frame questions? For example, in dealing with a refugee or immigration client or a trial witness.
