OBA Business Law & Real Property Law PROGRAM | 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM (ET)

On June 6, 2024, Bill 200, The Homeowner Protection Act, 2024 came into force, amending section 54 of the Personal Property Security Act (PPSA) to provide that a Notice of Security Interest (NOSI) in respect of consumer goods may no longer be registered on land title. It further amended the PPSA to provide that all NOSIs for consumer goods currently registered on title are now deemed expired and may be deleted from title upon application by the owner.
