This presentation provides a practical and current overview of nuclear regulation in Canada, with a particular focus on developments in Saskatchewan. It will provide insight into the regulatory framework governing nuclear projects, including the key legislation, regulations, and approval processes that shape project development and oversight. The session will also examine the role and mandate of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, highlight significant recent and proposed nuclear projects, review notable CNSC decisions affecting Saskatchewan, and discuss emerging trends from recent court decisions involving nuclear facilities and activities.
