Derek LaCroix has been a driving force behind LAPBC since 1996, bringing over 40 years of experience in law, business, and counselling. A former practicing lawyer for 18 years, Derek is widely respected across the legal, health care, and recovery communities. He has served on key committees with the Canadian and American Bar Associations, including as Commissioner and Chair within the ABA’s Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs (CoLAP). Derek is a frequent speaker and workshop leader, known for his tireless commitment to improving the lives of legal professionals. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2004.
