Constitutional Law in Divided Times

Disputes about federalism and rights dominate Alberta's increasingly divided politics. Talk of provincial sovereignty and potential use of the notwithstanding clause is on the rise. Can Canada's Constitution ever bridge such divides, or is it part of the problem? In this webinar, Professor Eric Adams will explore the roads that led us to this era of uncooperative federalism and disagreements about the fundamental nature of our rights, and the prospect of constitutional law to navigate challenging times.

You will have an opportunity to ask our speaker questions during this webinar. If you wish to submit questions in advance, you may do so by sending them by email to Susan Borsic K.C., Manager of Professional Development, at susan.borsic@cba-alberta.org.

This webinar is part of CBA Alberta’s annual Alberta Lawyer Insight Series (ALIS).
