Modernizing Alberta's Land Titles Registry (Part 2)
Presented by the CBA Alberta Real Property Law Commercial & Residential Sections
Land ownership is the largest investment most Albertans will ever make, and modernizing Alberta's land title registration system and processes are essential to supporting the economy. Building on our October 2025 session, this follow-up session will provide an update on the development of the new Land Title Reigstry sytem, Alberta Registry for Land Online (ARLO).
Real estate lawyers practicing in Alberta are invited to attend and provide feedback to help shape ARLO’s development. Be sure to attend if you are interested in the progress being made to modernize Alberta's land title registrations.
In this session, we will:
- Explore how conveyancing software will integrate with ARLO
- Discuss processes and document types that will be available for electronic submission in ARLO by the end of 2026
- Engage on document retention schedules and official records
- Discuss charge accounts and approach to accessing ARLO
