Criminal Matters Committee Town Hall Meeting

In advance of, and in preparation for, the Roundtable with the Cartels Directorate to be held on May 6, 2019 in Toronto, the Criminal Matters Committee will be holding a Town Hall Meeting for members of the private bar. Please see event coordinates below:

•    Date and Time: Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 4:30 PM to 6 PM ET 
 
•    Location: Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, Bay Adelaide Centre, East Tower, 22 Adelaide St. W. 
 
The Town Hall will serve as a forum in which the participants may have a frank and informal discussion about issues of importance to the private bar relating to criminal enforcement under the Competition Act and to advance ideas for topics or specific questions to be raised at the Roundtable on May 6. In particular, the Town Hall will serve as a forum to prepare a list of questions that will be submitted to the Cartels Directorate to consider in advance of the Roundtable and will cover a number of the significant developments in 2018-2019, including the Bureau’s adoption of the revised Immunity and Leniency programs and its practice regarding public interest privilege.
