Description
The Advanced Criminal Litigation Symposium (“ACLS”) is an effort to improve the competency of legal professionals with respect to jury trials and criminal appeals, and to help minimize unnecessary delays in these more complex criminal proceedings.
We look forward to welcoming The Honorable Thomas Cromwell to Halifax as the keynote speaker at the ACLS. Stay tuned for the announcement of our full speaker lineup, which will include Justices from the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal and the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, as well as experienced Crown and defence counsel.
The CBA-NS is pleased to partner with the Criminal Justice Transformation Group to present this symposium. The Nova Scotia Department of Justice has provided one-time funding to support this initiative, along with sponsorship from the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
