The CBA-NS Sexual and Gender Diversity Alliance Section (SAGDA) is pleased to host a special iteration of our Pride Reception in partnership with the Call-Acal (Canadian Association of LGBTQ2S+ Lawyers) Prisme Conference this year!
This year marks the first time that this national conference, now in its 5th year, will be hosted in Atlantic Canada - just in time for Halifax Pride! Unity in Law: Shaping the Rights of 2SLGBTQ+ Rights will run from July 22-24 at the Halifax Convention Centre, and will host over 200 legal professionals from across Canada for an inclusive and collaborative forum to discuss current issues facing 2SLGBTQ+ individuals in the legal profession and the advancement of 2SLGBTQ+ rights in Canada and around the world.
We are pleased to partner with Call-Acal, as well as the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, to host a special social event on the evening of July 23, at the Alexander Keith's Brewery. This social will be open to attendees of the Prisme Conference, as well as CBA and NSBS members who are not attending the conference.
Those not attending the conference are required to register via the CBA-NS website, so that we know who to expect! Registrants from CBA or NSBS will need to be on the list to enter the reception, so registration is required.
