Recent amendments to the Competition Act have increased the risk of mergers being challenged by the Commissioner of Competition. This panel will explore how those changes can influence the Competition Bureau’s decision to issue Supplementary Information Requests (SIRs) and how transacting parties can better prepare for and assess the risk of receiving a SIR in the post-amendment world.
