Speaker:
Richard Kurland
Kurland Tobe (Vancouver and Montreal)
Topic:
"Advocating for Immigration Clients through News Media: Do's and Dont's"
Apart from running a busy law practice, publishing the Lexbase bulletin each month, and advocating for reform in immigration law and policy with the federal government, the presenter has been a regular commentator on immigration law issues with numerous media sources, including newspapers, TV and radio. Drawing on his 30+ years of experience bringing immigration law to the general public and highlighting individual cases through media, Richard will offer practical guidance on how to develop a media strategy (message, timing, do's and don'ts), and how to use this far- and wide-reaching forum as an advocacy tool for our clients.
If you wish the presenter to address particular questions, please e-mail them to akuranicheva@eclc.ca (Anna Kuranicheva) by 4 pm on June 9, 2021.
