Year-End Wine & Cheese Social with the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise

Please join us for our end-of-year Wine & Cheese Social where, before catching up with colleagues, we will have a brief presentation from the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise (CORE). The CORE is a human rights Ombud institution with a mandate to promote respect for human rights and responsible business conduct with Canadian companies operating overseas in the garment, mining and oil/gas sectors. The CORE also has a complaints mechanism through which impacted individuals and communities can submit complaints about possible human rights abuses, and the CORE will bring the complainant together with the Canadian company in order to seek remedy for the harms caused.
