Reception to Honour Women Called to the Bench
The Canadian Bar Association Women Lawyers’ Forum (WLF) Alberta would like to cordially invite you to our special reception where we will be celebrating female Justices of the Courts of Appeal, King’s Bench, and Court of Justice, and Justices of the Peace appointed since 2018. This in-person celebration is the first in 5 years with many exceptional women to celebrate.
Light refreshments and wine will be provided. All CBA members are welcome to attend.
The Women Lawyers’ Forum was launched in Alberta in 2007 as a platform to support the advancement of women in the legal profession. Given the high rate of attrition of women from the practice of law, our mandate is to explore and develop ways to reverse the trend and to enhance the stature, influence and advancement of those who identify as women in the law. Female practitioners who have achieved high levels of success in the legal profession are individuals that we want to highlight and celebrate. This reception is our way of saying thank you to these members for their mentorship, inspiration, and service to our honourable profession.
We are happy to confirm special guests The Honourable Mary T. Moreau, Chief Justice of the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and Amanda Lindberg, President of the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Branch who will bring greetings and words of welcome to invitees
