Perspectives on the Impact of COVID-19 Credit Programs in Post-Pandemic Corporate Insolvency Filings
Presented by the CBA Alberta Insolvency Law (South) Section
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of Canada offered interest-free loans to small businesses, up to $60,000, to help cover operating costs. Although the loans were issued by the Government, they were administered by Canadian banks. With the pandemic behind us,these loans must now be repaid, with the final repayment deadline set for December 31, 2026.
This panel will discuss perspectives on the impacts of the Government loan programs on corporate insolvency filings, now that the immediate effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on small businesses has come to an end.
Please note: This is an in-person only meeting and will not be recorded, nor any materials shared.
