Changes to Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks in Bill 50
Presented by the CBA Alberta Municipal Law (North) Section
Bill 50 introduced several amendments to Part 17.2 of the MGA which substantively impact the scope of Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks, and the mandatory arbitration process. Some of these amendments respond to issues which came up in recent arbitration proceedings involving ICFs. This presentation will outline the amendments to Part 17.2 and discuss how they will impact ICFs going forward.
