Third Party Beneficiaries to Construction Contracts
Presented by the CBA Alberta Construction Law (North) Section
Construction contracts often purport to benefit or bind third parties through indemnities, releases, insurance requirements, warranties, and dispute resolution. The question is the extent to which these terms are binding and enforceable. Tim Mavko will discuss the current law in Alberta and Canada regarding third party beneficiaries and the situations in which third parties can enforce or be bound by these terms.
Tim Mavko is a seasoned and highly regarded litigator who specializes in construction and teaches construction law at the U of A law school.
