This panel discussion will discuss the current state of virtual mediation and its future. They will also cover questions such as:

  • What advantages have you seen to virtual mediation as opposed to in person (both from the perspective of mediator, and parties)
  • What disadvantages have you seen to virtual mediation as opposed to in person (both from the perspective of mediator, and parties)
  • What can mediators and parties do to ensure success at a virtual mediation
  • Have you seen any difference in participation/engagement or settlement rate in virtual mediations vs. in-person mediation
  • Have you done any hybrid mediations with some in-person and some virtual participants – if so, how has that worked and what benefits / issues have you had with that?
  • Have you conducted any in-person mediations since COVID started?  Are you starting to book any going forward?
  • Do you expect mediations to return to in-person primarily at some point or do you think virtual mediations are here to stay even when (if?!!?) we are back to a post-COVID world?
