SYNOPSIS
Dr. Lisa Gunderson is an award-winning educator, community speaker, organizer, leader, equity consultant and trainer focusing on issues that impact BIPOC populations especially on racial identity and mental wellness.

In this recorded informal Q&A session, Dr. Gunderson builds on the foundational principles of anti-racism, and delves into the larger concepts of systemic racism, equity, power/privilege and how they manifest in the legal arena.
 

 


About Dr. Lisa Gunderson

Dr. Gunderson is an award winning educator, community speaker, organizer, leader, and equity consultant and trainer for various institutions in Canada and the United States focusing on issues that impact BIPOC populations especially on racial identity and mental wellness. Dr. G. is also a frequent guest speaker to various organizations and to K-12 and post-secondary institutions. Her pronouns are she/her.

Most recently, she was a member of the Greater Victoria Police Diversity Advisory Committee, the community liaison for the African Heritage Association of Vancouver Island, a former board member for the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Center Society, and a representative to the Confederation of Parents Advisory Council of Saanich and the Victoria Council of Parent Advisory Councils.
