Synopsis
Dr. Daren Heyland is a critical care doctor, medical researcher and Professor of Medicine at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario. He is a champion of person-centred care who has developed a number of tools and strategies to support people in understanding decision-making for critically ill loved ones or themselves.
Dr. Heyland will speak to the CBABC Elder Law subsection, from his perspective as a doctor, about how lawyers can best help clients prepare for their future medical care needs or those of others.
