About Thomas Fellhauer, KC
Thomas  was elected as the Bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia for the Okanagan District for the maximum of four terms (8 years) and is now Life Bencher of the Law Society of BC. He is also a contributing author for the Continuing Legal Education Society Company Law Practice Manual.

Tom is a partner with Pushor Mitchell LLP who serves a wide range of clients in the areas of income tax appeals, tax and estate planning, wealth management, trusts, incorporations, corporate reorganizations, charities law and family foundations. For over 35 years, Tom has been helping business owners, professionals, and high income and high net worth individuals to create tailored solutions to avoid tax problems and minimize taxes, drawing upon both his extensive experience in tax planning and conducting income tax and GST appeals and his numerous dealings over many years with the Canada Revenue Agency.

Tom has both a law degree from UBC and a Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University.  He has also completed the three-year In-Depth Tax Program from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA), as well as the Advanced CICA Corporate Reorganizations Course, the Wealth Preservation Course and the International Tax Course. He has authored numerous chapters and articles on tax, estate planning and company law and is a frequent presenter and seminar leader on topics relating to tax, trusts, estate planning and ethics.

Audra Bayer
In her practice of law, Audra Bayer has adopted her father’s passionate, ‘no-bull’ approach to advocacy and commitment. What she does as a lawyer and how she does it are inextricably linked to her approach to being a daughter, wife, mother, and developing person. Her goal is to ensure each client becomes empowered in their own way to move on with their lives in a healthy and productive way.

Audra is a certified mediator and arbitrator, collaborative law practitioner and mother of five children.   Although she previously spent most of her practice in litigation, she has moved the focus of her practice to mediation (including an expansive mediation process from the outset of the file to completion which includes resolution of interim issues), settlement coaching and collaborative law.  She has previously served as a member of the Canadian Bar Association’s (CBA) National Alternative Dispute Resolution section, Co-Chair of the Okanagan Family Bar Section, and member of the CBA National Family Section.  She and her team also operate a pro bono clinic from their West Kelowna office.

This seminar is hosted by CBABC, which is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations. We encourage our members to explore the rich history and knowledge of Indigenous people, and to continue learning about their experience in Canada, past and present.
