Synopsis
Please join us as a panel of experienced lawyers discuss about how local governments are responding to and dealing with the affordable housing crisis. They will also discuss on the perspective from BC Housing in partnering with municipalities on affordable housing projects.
Susan Do will discuss BC Housing’s role in affordable housing projects. Susan will also discuss the practice points she addresses as legal counsel for BC Housing when partnering in a development with a municipality and a non-profit society.
Reece Harding will discuss the New Westminster renoviction bylaw cases and tenant assistance polices.
Lisa Van Den Dolder will discuss some of the City of Victoria's affordable housing initiatives and legal mechanisms for achieving them.
