POSTPONED: Senior Counsel / Young Lawyers Mentoring Networking Event
This meeting is being hosted by the Young Lawyers Sections.

Time: Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 12:30pm - 2:00pm (PT)

The Senior Counsel Section will be hosting a joint meeting with Young Lawyer Section members.

This is a virtual networking and mentoring event bringing together Young Lawyers and Senior Counsel Section members from across BC in an informal interactive environment.  Young Lawyer Section members will have the opportunity to ask questions of seasoned members who practise in different areas (private, public, and non traditional fields) in order to gain insight about different practise areas etc.

This joint session will be structured by having virtual rooms populated by Senior Counsel members through which various Young Lawyer registrants will rotate through at 20 minute intervals. Each virtual room will already have a designated moderator in place.  No Senior Counsel registrant will be asked to assume the moderator role.  All we ask is that the Senior Counsel registrant bring with them their  knowledge and experience.

Upon registering, Senior Counsel members (25+ YOC) will receive a link within their receipt, which will ask members to fill a questionaire to better inform the Executive of breakout room groupings. No further preparation time is required.

There will be a 20 minute interval at the end which will allow Young Lawyer registrants to rotate into a room of their choice to ask any further questions.

Territorial Acknowledgement
This event will be broadcast from the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish and Musqueam First Nations. We encourage members to explore the rich history and knowledge of Indigenous people, and to continue learning about their experience in Canada past and present.
