This session provides an overview and discussion of the annuity purchase process for pension plans in Canada. Megan Kaneen and Taylor Buckley walk through such transactions from both the insurance company’s and the pension plan sponsor’s perspectives. The speakers shed light on key considerations, risks, and best practices involved in securing retiree benefits through buy-in and buy-out annuity purchases.
