SYNOPSIS

Difficult conversations with employees are never easy. Whether it’s related to performance, ethics or client complaints, that conversation is a balancing act between protecting your firm and maintaining a positive working relationship.

You don’t need to be an HR expert to navigate conflict in your small office. You just need to be prepared. Finish this session with practical frameworks for delivering feedback, tips on de-escalation and a clear understanding of your employment and human rights obligations.

ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER

Dimple Kainth

Dimple followed her entrepreneurial spirit and founded satya law after nearly 16 years as a private and public sector lawyer in order to practice law in a fulfilling and authentic way.

Dimple has considerable experience as regulatory lawyer. As former in-house counsel at the Law Society of British Columbia for many years, she handled matters involving serious allegations of professional misconduct. She also gained a wealth of experience handling matters involving mental health issues, addiction issues, competency issues, and practice management issues. She continues to provide her clients with ethical and regulatory advice on all types of issues from registration to discipline.

ACKNOWLEDGING FIRST NATIONS TERRITORIES

This webinar is hosted by CBABC, which is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations. We encourage our members to explore the rich history and knowledge of Indigenous people, and to continue learning about their experience in Canada, past and present.
