SYNOPSIS
Attracting clients can be daunting in the absence of an extensive client base and the name recognition of a big firm. Especially when your time is already spread thin between meetings, legal research, document drafting and more. Practical and cost-effective strategies can make selling your services second nature.
Adopt practical strategies to balance your billable work with business development and build a steady flow of clients.
ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKERS
Manpreet Mand
Manpreet has specialized in family law since being called to the BC Bar in 2007. A graduate of UBC, with majors in History and Political Science, and a UVic law alumna (2006), she brings a strong academic foundation to her practice.
With more than 18 years of experience in the negotiation, litigation, and resolution of family law matters, she regularly appears before both the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. She works closely with clients to identify effective pathways for resolving their family law issues, including mediation and collaborative law. She is an accredited Family Law Mediator, Arbitrator, and Parenting Coordinator, a member of the Collaborative Association (Lower Mainland), and a legal member of the Mental Health Review Board.
Her commitment to community is longstanding. She served as a Director of a not-for-profit organization for over six years and has contributed to several volunteer initiatives, including the Canadian Bar Association of British Columbia, where she has served as the Westminster County Representative, mentor, practice coach, and member of the Court Services Committee. She also serves as a Director on the CLEBC Board.
