Low-altitude airspace is emerging as a new domain of dual use economic activity and digital infrastructure. Kate Ayre explores Canada's CARS Part IX reforms and the forthcoming U.S. FAA part 108 BVLOS framework, highlighting key legal issues for aviation, technology, defense and trade lawyers as autonomous airspace becomes a reality.
