Meet & Greet with CBA President, Bianca Kratt, K.C.

Bianca Kratt, K.C., a native of Quebec City and a member of the Huron-Wendat First Nation, is a partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Alberta, where she practises commercial and real estate law. She brings extensive experience in corporate transactions, real estate financing, and land development, and has been deeply involved in CBA leadership, including serving as President of the CBA Alberta Branch from 2021 to 2022. A bilingual lawyer, Bianca has also been active in advancing access to justice in French and in supporting initiatives that address gender-based inequities in the legal profession.
The event is hosted by Stacey Soldier, President of the Manitoba Bar Association and a senior associate at Cochrane Sinclair LLP. A member of the Gaabiskigamaag (Swan Lake First Nation), Stacey practises primarily in criminal law and child protection law, with significant experience representing victims of sexual violence. Her professional background includes work as a federal Prosecuting Agent and as co-counsel to the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs at the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. She is also a dedicated educator at Robson Hall and will become the first Anishinaabe woman to serve as MBA President in 2025.
The evening will feature informal networking and remarks from both Presidents, providing insight into their leadership priorities and perspectives on the legal profession. All members are welcome.
