Public sector lawyers and others exempt from the Law Society’s insurance requirements will have read with interest Practice, Ethics and Equity Advisor Noelia Bernardo’s article in the August edition of the Communiqué entitled, “Notarial Services vs Legal Services:  Can a Lawyer Ever Be ‘Just a Witness’?”  Ms Bernardo has kindly agreed to address our Section on this important topic.  Please come prepared to share your approach to notarizing documents in your own practice.

Attendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society of Manitoba’s Continuing Professional Development requirement for a maximum of one EPPM hour.
