What do you do if the resources you need aren’t available on CanLII, or another online legal database? What if you need to prepare a legislative history going back to the 1800s, or determine what the law in England was at the time of Canadian confederation? What resources are available for historical legal research in Manitoba? If you’ve ever tackled a tricky historical legal research project (or you anticipate one arising in the future), please come out to this interactive panel discussion of historical legal research by local legal research experts.
Please RSVP to the Manitoba Bar Association online (link above). A link to join the Zoom meeting will be distributed on the morning of the meeting.
Attendance at this MBA meeting can be applied toward your Law Society of Manitoba Continuing Professional Development for a maximum of 1.5 hours.
