Is Canada standing still or moving forward on access, privacy and AI?
Canada came *this* close to having new federal privacy and AI regulatory regimes before the prorogation of Parliament. Will the new federal government revive Bill C-27 or start over or start at all? If we’re starting with a blank slate, what should new privacy and AI laws look like? Provinces on the other hand are moving forward with their privacy and access law reviews, some attempts resulting in updated laws. Regardless, there are actions organizations can take to improve privacy, access and AI governance in the public and private sector.
