Québec (Procureur général) c. Pekuakamiulnuatsh Takuhikan: Implications for Crown-Indigenous Relations
This bilingual webinar will review the 2024 Supreme Court of Canada decision about the funding of First Nation police services and examine its implications for Crown-Indigenous relations one year since it was rendered. What lessons does this decision teach Crown and Indigenous parties to an ongoing funding agreement about the duty of good faith and the honour of the Crown? Have these lessons been put into practice since the Supreme Court of Canada rendered judgment?
