This session will cover essential negotiation skills, tactics, and strategies for lawyers, including:
- An overview of established concepts for application in complex negotiations.
- A review of state-of-the-art guidance for self- improvement of negotiation skills and use of effective tactics and strategies, including theories and approaches prescribed by experts.
- A discussion of the role of lawyer-mediators in addressing incivility and harassment in workplaces generally, with special emphasis on high-emotion workplaces.
- How to moderate emotion and ego in difficult negotiations.
- Increasing success in settlement conferences: experience-based observations and tips for lawyers who want to contribute constructively to settlement efforts.

CANCELLATION POLICY
A 20% administrative fee will apply to cancellations received in writing by the CBA Branch office up to three (3) business days before the program. After that, no refunds will be issued, but materials and recordings (if available) will be provided. You may substitute another person in your place if you are unable to attend. ABC-NB-CBA reserves the right to cancel sessions due to low registration.
