Medical Marijuana in the Workplace

As our laws evolve and medical studies show that marijuana can be highly effective in treating various ailments, the number of people using marijuana medicinally is expected to grow tremendously in the coming years. Employers are already being asked to accommodate the use of medicinal marijuana, but the stigma associated with marijuana often results in a knee-jerk rejection. The speakers will discuss the legal rights and obligations of employers, employees, and trade unions in addressing workplace arising as a result of the increasing use of marijuana as a medicine.
