CBA-NL Labour & Employment: Medical Information, Privacy and the Duty to Accommodate Lunch and Learn
Description
Join us for a Lunch and Learn featuring a panel discussion on workplace accommodations and medical information from all sides of the table. This session will bring together management-side counsel, a representative from the Human Rights Commission, and a member of the medical community to explore the practical and legal realities of accommodation requests.
We often navigate questions around functional restrictions, disclosure, and what is reasonable to request from treating professionals. Hearing directly from a medical practitioner will provide valuable insight into what employers can appropriately ask for, how medical information is assessed, and how to approach accommodations in a way that is both legally sound and practically workable.
This conversation is about clarity and better outcomes - ensuring employers understand their obligations, medical professionals understand the workplace context, and counsel can guide the process with confidence.
