Description

Join us on Tuesday May 30 from 12-1pm for a Webinar on Section 278.92 Applications – what it means to adduce a “record” in sexual assault cases. Our speaker will be Erica Koresawa from PPS-NS.  She argued at the SCC appeal in R v JJ, 2022 SCC 28, on behalf of the intervener AG of NS, which upheld the constitutionality of s. 278.92-278.94.  The SCC has provided some guidance, but has also left unanswered questions as to its application.  Join us to learn about this developing area of law.

speaker

Erica Koresawa, Public Prosecution Service - Nova Scotia
