On Monday, December 5, 2011, a five judge panel of the Court of Appeal for Ontario released its decision on five appeals of decisions under the amended Summary Judgment Rule.  The Court established a new interpretative guide for the resolution of summary judgment issues and gave guidance on the considerations that are common in summary judgment cases.

The Ontario Bar Association Civil Litigation Section is hosting a panel discussion on the decision.  All litigators should attend this essential programme to hear experts on the civil litigation process discuss the decision, including several lawyers who were counsel for Amicus Curiae in the appeal.
