Canadian charities and not-for-profits have been facing extraordinary and often urgent challenges in their day-to-day operations as a result of the current situation, including hosting events and meetings, governance considerations, insurance and liability, employment matters, financial considerations, and more.

Our expert faculty will discuss two distinct but related topics: commercial considerations when cancelling in-person meetings and conferences, and addressing issues related to not being able to host in-person meetings of charities and non-profits membership and boards, including AGMs. They will also provide a short regulatory update including information about the temporary closure of CRA’s Charities Directorate and the extension of time to file a Charity’s annual information return (T3010).
