OBA Charity and Not-For-Profit Law PROGRAM | Original Program Date: October 8, 2020

As a result of COVID-19 many organizations in the charitable and not-for-profit sector are considering collaborating and/or joining forces with other organizations. Our expert faculty will help counsel for charities and non-profit clients navigate the unique legal landscape for charities considering partnering with other entities. Our speakers will specifically share insights into successful (and not-so-successful) collaborations between charities and non-profits. While the excitement and sense of urgency to “do good” is incredible to witness, there are necessary legal considerations, including tax and trust compliance obligations, that are critical for charity and non-profit counsel and clients to understand before they join forces with another organization.
