In a Pinch Child Care at the OBA
The Ontario Bar Association is committed to serving the whole lawyer from their desk to their doorstep – including parents who balance a busy career with a busy home life. This balancing act may soon become even more difficult as parents may need to find child care for their school-age children as a result of the rotating teacher strikes being planned across the province.

In A Pinch Child Care for OBA Members
In a Pinch will have care providers at the OBA conference Centre from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Thursday, March 5th, 2020. Pre-registration is required; no drop-ins will be permitted. The In a Pinch service at the conference centre is available only to OBA members. The cost is $30.00 per half day per child and it is our understanding that In a Pinch will be providing one caregiver for every five children. The OBA will not be providing or monitoring the provision of care by In a Pinch.
Note: Registration will close at 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 4th for care required the following day.

Connecting you with a Full List of Camps and Schools
The OBA is pleased to provide members with an online database of camps and other resources for the care of school-age children during school strikes. We will continue our work to gather options in communities and regions across Ontario.

In a Pinch Child Care Service Provider
In a Pinch will have child care providers at the OBA Conference Centre from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Thursday, March 5th. It is our understanding that In a Pinch will be providing one caregiver for every five children. The OBA will not be providing or monitoring the provision of care by In a Pinch.
Meals
We understand that In a Pinch does not provide meals, snacks or refreshments and that children will be required to bring their own lunches and snacks.
Nut-Free
While the OBA Conference Centre is not a nut free facility, please avoid packing nuts in lunches in case there are other clients in the conference centre who have sensitivities.
Acknowledgment and Liability Waiver
An executed copy of the OBA’s Acknowledgment and Liability Waiver will be required prior to your child(ren) participating in the In a Pinch Child Care Services. Please bring an executed copy.
Reimbursment of Funds
Funds will be reimbursed if schools are not closed on the dates chosen.
