Workplace Reopening - Cyber Security Considerations when ‘At Home‘ Work Devices Move Back to the Office

May 20, 2020
Online

OBA Privacy and Access to Information Law PROGRAM | 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (EDT)

As the majority of the workforce has moved online to allow employees to work from home, cyber security and data privacy have surged to the front of legal discussions.  With employees using work devices such as laptops at home, many are also using these devices for personal use as well, such as downloading applications or visiting sites otherwise blocked by firewalls.  As employees eventually return to work, these devices may introduce threats to the company’s IT environment, potentially allowing hackers to launch cyber attacks or steal data. Join our panel of experts as they discuss cyber security risks, data privacy issues, and mitigation strategies when the “at home” workforce moves back into the office.
