As a home for all lawyers, the OBA creates the space and opportunity for members with shared interests to get together for positive interaction and camaraderie. Our legal literature book club is aimed at serving the whole lawyer – from their desk to the doorstep – by bringing lawyers across all regions and practice areas together to share ideas for success, connect, and stimulate our legal minds in new ways.
The OBA’s next book club selection is a reading selection that is practical and that promises to have an immediate impact on your practice and wellbeing. Written by lawyer, and long-time OBA member, Jacqueline King, 25 Rules for Success & 10 Tips to Enjoy the Practice of Law provides unique insight into everyday practice rules that apply to lawyers in different areas of the law and across all jurisdictions. The tips and advice that the book presents will create easy conversation during our book club discussion as we consider our observations about law practice, our everyday stresses, our ongoing quests for professional development and improvement.
Join your friends and colleagues as we host fellow lawyer, OBA member and author Jacqueline King for an evening chat, where we’ll share ideas, learn something new and have some fun together.
