OBA Young Lawyers Division PROGRAM | Original Program Date: May 10, 2021

Successful advocacy at the appellate level requires skills in persuading judges with both written and oral arguments. As new calls to the bar and young lawyers, it is critical for you to develop a strong foundation of written and oral advocacy skills which you can build upon while expanding your toolkit in the future. This fireside chat with the Chief Justice of Ontario, The Honourable George R. Strathy, will be moderated by experienced litigators Shantona Chaudhury and Dennis Ong. This valuable discussion will focus on the tips and tricks that you must have to become more than just a “good” appellate advocate, but rather a “great” one.
