The Ontario Bar Association’s Franchise Law Executive has designed this excellent program as a brief introduction to the fundamentals of franchise law for lawyers who don’t specialize in the area. It will give attendees an overview of this niche area of law, highlight the traps they may encounter and provide tips on how to best handle these situations.
During this two-hour webinar, attendees will learn about:
- The Wishart Act
- The franchisees’ right of rescission
- What rescission damages can be claimed
- An overview of franchise agreement terms
- A discussion of the duty of good faith and fair dealing that franchisors and franchisees owe each other while in the franchise relationship.
