Canadian corporations doing business abroad face greater scrutiny and potential liability for conduct that may run afoul of international human rights and international criminal law. Issues may arise due to the corporation’s conduct or via subsidiaries, contractors and elements of its supply chain. Legal advisors must be mindful of a wide array of developments both within Canada and internationally.
